Pastel Fishtail Mani

I was inspired to do today's mani from Kayla Shevonne - it is called a fishtail or braid mani, I've been seeing a lot of these lately. They are inspired by fishtail braids. I loved the colors she used so I had to try it! I really didn't do my best on this mani, it turned out okay... but for some reason I painted the design off to the side. I couldn't even get it straight when I was painting on my nails wheels! Plus my lines aren't very straight or even... but I thought I would share it anyway.

I went online and searched for "fishtail mani", and found a picture on how to paint the fishtail design. I started by painting my accent nails with China Glaze Lemon Fizz, followed by a diagonal strip of Zoya Lolly, then across the other way painted a stripe of China Glaze Peachy Keen, and then went back to Lemon Fizz and repeated it back and forth. Below is the picture I found:

I thought this was a really helpful guide! On my index finger is 3 coats of Lemon Fizz, middle finger is two coats of Peachy Keen, and my pinky is 3 coats of Zoya Lolly (a matte). I sealed everything in with a coat of Seche Vite. Thanks for looking!

China Glaze Orange You Hot? and Essie As Gold As It Gets

This is two coats of China Glaze Orange You Hot? with a coat of Seche Vite on top. This color is one of the ones I picked up from the Summer Neon collection that came out this summer.

This color is really pretty, but I just felt like I wanted something else with it. So, I added a coat of Essie As Gold As It Gets and a coat of Seche Vite on top. I really liked it with the flakies on top, it doesn't show up that great in pictures, but it was really stunning in person with the flakies on top of the shimmery orange.

Oh My Gosh Pink Red

This polish was another gift from my friend Debby, I must be spoiled! She went to Canada on business a few months ago and came home with a few goodies for me to try. This one is is a mini bottle Oh My GOSH Pink Red. It's a red jelly, and it applied really nicely. This is two coats with a coat of Seche Vite on top.

Birthday Cupcake Mani!

Today is my birthday, so here is my birthday mani! I saw these cute cupcakes done in a YouTube tutorial by Julie G months ago and decided I wanted to do these for my birthday.

To do this mani I painted two coats of Orly Twilight on my ring finger and thumb. To paint the cupcakes I used Savvy French White White and placed a square at the tip of my nail, and then I used China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy for the top part of the cupcake. I added the black detail using a striping brush and Orly Liquid Vinyl, and the yellow detail and sprinkles using my yellow So Easy Stripe Rite striping brush.

On my index finger is two coats of China Glaze Sun Worshiper, my middle finger is two coats of China Glaze Hang-Ten Toes, and pinky is two coats of China Glaze Sun-Kissed. I put two coats of Nubar Opulent Pearl on them. Finally, I put a coat of Seche Vite on top of everything to smooth it all out.

Half Moon Leopard Print Mani

I was inspired for today's mani by Kayla Shevonne, where she has a great tutorial of how she created her version. I am completely obsessed with her mani's! They are always perfection, I had been wanting to try this one for a while.

To do this mani, I started with two coats of China Glaze Poinsettia, with a coat of Seche Vite on top.

When that was completely dry, I used hole punch reinforce stickers and laid them at the bottom of my nail, then painted Color Club Nomadic In Nude on the top part of my nail. I peeled off the sticker and let it dry for a bit, then I used a very small dotting tool and made little random curves lines and clusters of dots in China Glaze Mahogany Magic. When I finished placing those how I wanted, I used a larger dotting tool and placed dots of Finger Paints Catwalk Queen in some of the dots. Then I sealed it all in with Seche Vite.

Nails Inc. Sweets Way

Hi there - today I have a gorgeous polish that my friend Debby bought for me, and gave me as an early birthday present! She's so sneaky! This is two coats of Nails Inc. Sweets Way, with a coat of Seche Vite on top. I was really impressed with how easily and evenly this polish applied. I didn't have to push around the glitters, they came out evenly - and it wasn't clumpy at all. It also had really great coverage in only two coats. Highly recommend this one! I loved wearing it - it was a party on my nails! Thanks for looking.
