Winter Snowflake Mani with China Glaze Snow Globe

As I sit here starting to type up this post, it's starting to snow! It's so pretty! I have been seeing such beautiful snowflake mani's out lately, and I wanted to do one for myself!

To do this mani I started with two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, and one coat of China Glaze Snow Globe. I think that glitter is perfect for this type of wintry mani! I did a comparison post of Snow Globe and China Glaze Make a Spectacle where you can see it over black if you'd like.

Then I used a Bundle Monster Plate BM14, using the snowflake design 2 to 4 times on each nail, stamping with China Glaze Deviantly Daring. I wore this polish before, and mentioned that I thought it would be good for stamping. It didn't disappoint! I then put a coat of Seche Vite on top to seal it in. Thanks for looking!

Halloween Skeleton Nails

Happy Halloween everyone! Today I have my Halloween mani to share with you. I actually have two other Halloween/Fall nails that I did last week but just didn't get a chance to post yet. I just wanted to do a quick post to share what I am wearing today! I actually did a variation of these nails on my friend Julie last year when she graduated from her Radiology program after she had found the idea on Pinterest. I've been wanting to try these on myself ever since!

To do this mani I started with two coats of Color Club Revvvolution, a beautiful black holo. It's got such a fantastic formula! It goes on so smooth... not to thick, not to thin, and not streaky at all. I forgot how much I love this polish. I actually have swatched this color before, here, in the sun. Unfortunately the weather is rather gloomy so I haven't been able to find any sun to photograph these nails in this time.

I put a coat of Seche Vite on top to help speed up the drying process, and then on my right hand I stamped the skull design using Bundle Monster Plate BM-225 and Konad Special Polish in White.

Then for my left hand I used my Two Way Nail Art Brush and Pen in White, using the pen side to draw on the skeleton's bones. I really like this tool, it's pretty easy to work with.

Then I sealed everything in with a coat of Seche Vite. Now, you may wonder why I only have a picture of three fingers in that first picture... it's because I had such a hard time getting my pinky to behave for these pictures! Plus, my patient fiance was trying to help me take my pictures... and as you could probably guess, photographing nails wasn't all that interesting to him! Lol. Here is an example of how my pinky was giving me trouble... This was the best one I could find! Thanks for looking.

China Glaze Cast a Spell and Roguish Red Halloween Stamp

It's time to start some Halloween mani's! I think these are my favorite themed designs to do, there are so many fun designs out there to try and I just can't get enough! I went to Sally's last week and had only intended on getting a few of the new China Glaze Wicked Collection, but I caved and got them ALL. Woops! I couldn't resist - they had a 4-pack including their glow in the dark polish, Ghoulish Glow, for $9.99. It felt like a steal!

I used two of the polishes from the collection for this mani, China Glaze Roguish Red and China Glaze Cast A Spell. The formula on both of these was outstanding. Seriously. I used two coats of each but it was out of habit rather than necessity. I was especially surprised with Roguish Red because I would have expected it to be more shear or streaky but it went on so smooth and it was so opaque! I love it. Cast A Spell reminded me a lot of China Glaze Smoke and Ashes, except it has an olive/gold shimmer instead of the multi-colored shimmer in Smoke and Ashes. I just love both of these colors and can't wait to try out the rest of the collection.

The stamp on this mani is Konad Special Polish in Black, and Bundle Monster Plate BM13. The web and the spider are two different stamps, and the bat stamp is actually the top two bats, and I felt like I needed a third so I repeated one of the bats to make it fill my nail. I loved wearing this design and I love these colors! Thanks for looking!

China Glaze Harvest Moon Cheetah Stamp Mani

It's wedding season - so I have another design I did to match a dress for my neighbor's wedding! It was a black and brown cheetah print dress.

To do this mani I started with two coats of China Glaze Harvest Moon with a coat of Seche Vite on top. This color was one from the Hunger Games Collection. Another really pretty color, I'm not sure if my pictures do it justice.

Then I used Konad Special Polish in Black to stamp with Bundle Monster Plate BM-221. I threw on some rhinestones to accent my ring finger... I wish that I hadn't, I don't really like how it turned out but I thought I would share it anyway! Thanks for looking.

Ulta Deep Desire Flower Stamp with Sally Hansen Gold Chrome Pen

This mani was done to match another dress I wore to another one of my friend's who got married! I was wearing a burgandy dress that was nearly a perfect match to this color.

To do this mani I started with two coats of Ulta Deep Desire with a coat of Seche Vite on top, below. I really like this color a lot. Another perfect fall color, a deep burgandy that wasn't too dark. Just right. Love it.

To stamp this mani I used Bundle Monster Plate BM-221. The color I used to stamp was one of those Sally Hansen Color Quick Nail Color Pens in Gold Chrome. I had heard these were good for stamping, but haven't tried it before. Good is an understatement! Stamping with this polish pen was flawless! Each design came up perfectly, there was no smearing, no streaking, no missing bits of the design. Amazing. I honestly can say I like these for stamping better than the Konad polish I have that is made for stamping! If you haven't tried stamping with these yet, go out and get one! I haven't used any other colors yet, and this one is a metallic finish. I am curious to try some of the others and see if they are as amazing as this one!

China Glaze Midtown Magic and Color Club Antiquated Leaf Stamp

I'm still on the fall nails kick! I actually saw this mani last September on Scrangie's blog, and at the time I didn't have the stamp I needed to make it happen! It's been stuck in my head ever since, so I finally got a chance to do it as the weather cools.

To do this mani I started with two beautiful coats of China Glaze Midtown Magic, below, with a coat of Seche Vite on top. This polish is a stunner! This is one of the colors from the Metro Collection for Fall 2011. It's got such a beautiful gold shimmer that I love. I tried to capture it in the below pictures, I hope you can see how gorgeous this is!

To stamp the leaf design, I used Color Club Antiquated and the Bundle Monster Plate BM04. I wish I had used a better color for the stamping, it doesn't show up as brightly as I would have liked. This would be fun to try with some other fall colors sometime. Thanks for looking!

China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard Stamp Mani

Indoor

I did this mani because I wanted to get some use out of my new China Glaze Summer Neons that I had picked up! I can't seem to get enough of neons lately! For this mani I started with two coats of China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard, with a coat of Seche Vite on top, below.

Sunlight

I then stamped my nails with this funky looking starry design from Bundle Monster Plate BM-202, using Konad Special Polish in Black.

Pastel Easter Skittles Stamp Mani

Whoa, that title is a mouthful... lol. This is the design I am wearing for Easter today!

To do this mani, starting with my thumb to my pinky is three coats of China Glaze Go-Go Pink, two coats of Zoya Megan, two coats of China Glaze For Audrey, two coats of Revlon Jaded and two coats of China Glaze Lemon Fizz. All of them have a coat of Seche Vite on top, below.

Then I used Konad Special Polish in White and Bundle Monster Plate BM-211 to stamp this design. I picked this design because it reminded me of little eggs. I think it could double as pebbles in a different color combination, I may need to try that...

Finally, after I had finished the mani I felt like it needed something else. I had debating throwing some flakies or holo glitter on it... but ended up picking out some different colored rhinestones and putting them on my ring finger for a cute accent nail. I am really loving these colors together. Thanks for looking!

Misa Grey Matters & China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise Stamp

To do this mani I used two coats of Misa Grey Matters on my index, middle and pinky. On my thumb and ring finger I used two coats of China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise. Below is a picture of these two colors before I used my stamp.

First of all, I wanted to say how much I LOVE Grey Matters - it's such a nice color! It's a warm grey and with darker flecks in it. I don't know if it's all that obvious in these pictures but I haven't seen anything quite like it. It kind of reminds me of wet sand, except grey instead of tan, lol. You may know what I am talking about... if you have ever looked closely at sand it has darker flecks in it?? It had really nice coverage and I could have probably gotten away with one neat coat. Turned Up Turquoise on the other hand is really thin and the first coat was very streaky, two coats evened it out fairly well though. It doesn't look anything like this in real life though. It photographed very blue, when it's really bright and pretty turquoise, a lot more green than it shows up here. Also, this has Seche Vite on top, it dries with a slightly matte finish.

To stamp, I used the Bundle Monster plate BM-222. I stamped with Milani Neon Fresh Teal on top of Grey Matters, and then on top of Turned Up Turquoise I stamped with Sally Hansen Wet Cement. I used these just to give a little more of a contrast with the stamp. I sealed everything in with Seche Vite.

PS - Do you noticed how my polish looks wrinkled on my index finger? This happened AFTER I put on Seche Vite but I have never had this happen before... so odd! It is smooth to the touch, it's almost as if Grey Matters wrinkled up slightly underneath the top coat as it dried? hmmm.

Valentine's Day Kisses Mani

I have seen many bloggers use this stamp for mani's before, but I really wanted to do this for Valentine's Day!

This is two coats of Sinful Colors Secret Admirer. On my ring finger I topped it with a coat of Milani Jewel FX Glitter in Red, Silver and then Red again with a coat of Seche Vite on top. On the rest of my fingers I used a Bundle Monster stamping plate BM02, and stamped the kiss design with Butter London Knees Up and an old Maybelline Mirror Image kit I bought years ago at the dollar store. It doesn't have a color name on it - they call it "Step 2: Mirror Finish Top Coat" of the kit. It's the shiniest silver I own, and it reminds me of pictures that I see of China Glaze Millennium... which I really would love to own. :) Thanks for looking!

Revlon Carbonite Giraffe Stamp

It's been a long time since I've used my stamps, and I got a bunch of bundle monster stamping plates around Christmas (a gift to myself =] hehe). This is two coats of Revlon Carbonite, then I followed it by stamping this design using my Bundle Monster plate BM-215 , and I wish I could tell you what color I used for the purple. It's a really dark purple that I have no idea where I got it from, and it has no labels. Also, I had to take picture of my right hand because I managed to mess up my left hand pretty bad when I was stamping.

This is two coats of Revlon Carbonite followed by a coat of Seche Vite, before I stamped.

Christmas Bundle Monster Mani

I have been a little behind in my blogging, but luckily I have still had time to do some Christmas designs - just no chance to post them! So, even though we've passed Christmas I have several designs that I want to share. I don't think this one was really successful, I did too much and I think with less stamping this mani could have been much cuter! The only nail I am that happy with is my ring finger with the mistletoe.

To do this mani:

Thumb - Two coats of Ulta High Roller. To stamp the Christmas bulbs I used Bundle Monster plate BM-225 stamping with China Glaze City Siren and Sinful Colors Last Chance.

Index - Two coats of China Glaze Glittering Garland. The stamp is Bundle Monster plate BM-223 with Ulta High Roller.

Middle - One coat of China Glaze Poinsettia, followed by one coat of China Glaze Ring in the Red. I stamped the Christmas tree with Sinful Colors Last Chance and Bundle Monster plate BM-205.

Ring - Two coats of Milani Good Morning Sunshine. The stamp is Bundle Monster BM14 with Sinful Colors Last Chance. I added some red rhinestones over the berries on the stamp.

Pinky - One coat of China Glaze Glittering Garland, one coat of China Glaze Ring in the Red, and one coat of China Glaze Medallion.

Each finger has a coat of Seche Vite on top.

Gingerbread Stamp

I wanted to do another Christmas design, and when I got my Bundle Monster stamps, this little gingerbread design was too cute to pass up! Sorry for the awkward hand pose... for some reason I didn't do a great job stamping on my left hand this time, so I photographed my right hand - I obviously need practice!

To do this mani I started with two coats of Color Club Nomadic in Nude, below.

I followed it with a coat of OPI Hollywood Blonde to give it a bit of shimmer. I love the way the light dances off of this color, it's gorgeous! The pictures don't really do it justice, it just looks like a silver shimmer in this picture. In real life there are subtle glimmers of different colors like really pale green and pink.

Then, I used Bundle Monster plate BM-222 and stamped it with China Glaze Street Chic. I topped everything with a coat of Seche Vite.

Peacock Themed Design

I got some new Bundle Monster plates and wanted to try them out. I like how this design turned out, and even though it's not a traditional Christmas design - I think it's a little Christmas-y enough to count as one!

To do this mani I started with two coats of Color Club Perfect Mol-Ten. I forgot to take a picture of it before I stamped though, woops! I stamped it with the Bundle Monster plate BM-212, with Sinful Colors Midnight Blue. Then, on my ring finger I added some blue and green rhinestones and sealed everything in with Seche Vite.

Radiology Themed Design

I am super excited about how this turned out! I haven't had time to do a lot of fun designs lately, however my friend Julie is graduating from her degree in Radiology, and asked me if I would do her nails for her graduation this weekend. I couldn't resist! She showed me this adorable idea on Pinterest, and I modified it a little bit so that I could do it. Love, love, love!

To do this mani I used two coats of Sinful Colors Secret Admirer, followed by a coat of Seche Vite to help it dry. To do the skulls I used Bundle Monster plate BM-211 with Konad Special Polish in White. To do the bottom half of the body and the bones I used my Two Way Nail Art Pen and Brush in white, using the pen side to draw the lines and dots. Then I sealed it in with a coat of Seche Vite. It was so much fun, and I love how it turned out!
